Instant IP Interaction!
The Hypercom T4100 offers instantaneous and seamless connectivity. You do not need to re-download the Hypercom T4100 to switch to IP in the future. Itís ìplug and playî for the merchant! The merchant simply unplugs the terminal from the phone line and plugs it right into their broadband connection. If it doesnít recognize an IP connection, it immediately switches to dial up. It works automatically and instantly!

Hand in hand with automatic IP connectivity is automatic download initiation. For example, if a storm occurs and causes a power surge at a merchant location, terminals can lose their programming or become corrupted. Should this happen at a location that has a Hypercom T4100, when the power comes back on, the terminal will automatically start dialing in to download the last transaction/program/file downloaded.

One of the best features of the Hypercom T4100 is its unprecedented diagnostic capabilities. It eliminates finger pointing and takes the guesswork out of IP troubleshooting.

No matter what time of the day, if an IP connection goes down, the merchant can call into our Help Desk and the Customer Service Representative can easily walk them through a basic diagnostic that automatically determines the exact cause of the failure.

For example, if a merchant is getting error messages when trying to process a transaction over an IP connection, a test can easily be initiated on the terminal that pinpoints where the problem lies, i.e. the Ethernet cable (Cat-5) , the merchantís Internet set up (router, firewall, etc.), the merchantís Internet Service Provider (AOL, Comcast) or the credit card processor.

This is an invaluable feature because rarely does the merchant actually know what a router is, if they have a firewall, if their ISP is PPOE or if they have a static or dynamic IP. The Hypercom T4100 eliminates time-consuming troubleshooting for IP processing.

Multi-Application Ability!
The Hypercom T4100 offers multiple applications that run simultaneously in active memory. This means the user can switch quickly between several applications without any lag time to load each app into memory when selected. Since applications can be on at the same time, data can be shared between them for consolidated report. Our AAE (Adaptive Application Environment) independently controls resources so one application cannot ìseizeî the card reader and prevent other applications to be utilized.

Retail Tip Program!
The Hypercom T4100 offers advanced technology for merchants that require tip program applications with no transaction downgrades. This technology supports:

• Stand alone and PIN prompting. Using the PIN pad solution, the cardholder can enter a tip percentage or a straight amount for quick enabling easy gratuity calculation.
• Merchant establishments that do not qualify for tips (i.e. hair and nail salons)
• Multi-merchant establishments
